The Artificial Intelligence is a prominent technology in the Slendytubbies series, also present in the original TV series.

From the little that is shown, the artificial intelligence operates in several robotic units that are used in particular to monitor the test subjects and probably to prevent them from straying too far from the surface. Their origins are unclear, but one of the units states that it was created by other machines[1], which may or may not be the same ones used to create Teletubbies. As events progress, one particular unit named Noo-noo managed to hack into the central artificial intelligence mainframe to corrupt other machines and make them part of the New Born army[2].

Overview[]

Voice Trumpets[]

From the original TV series, mechanical entities called “Voice Trumpets” resemble speakers and can rise out of the ground in the Main Land to give instructions to the subjects. Two of them apparently inactive can be found by travelling on the land, although one comes out of the ground towards the end of Chapter 0 ― “It Was Good” when Po tries to escape from Tinky Winky. It is unknown whether they are autonomous or remotely controlled.

In the Secret Center, a massive robot called The Announcer has a voice trumpet for a head. It has been corrupted by Noo-noo and is sent by him to fight The Guardian. Another similar but smaller robot moves alongside the New Born army.

Droids[]

Among the robots that are moving alongside the New Borns are security droids that were probably created for more dangerous and urgent situations, or even to execute subjects who manage to escape from their experiment surface[3]. They either look like tall humanoids with blades for hands or small spider-like creatures, the latter only appearing in Survival mode.

Another humanoid robot called The Imposter appears in Multiplayer mode. His role and origins are not revealed, but his name and cow-skinned hat implies that he is trying to impersonate the Guardian for mysterious reasons.

Others[]

The four test subjects in the Main Land are assisted by a small vacuum-like robot called Noo-noo. The latter only appears in the Campaign with the major role of being responsible for the entire infection. It is not stated whether other robots like him exist.

All known robots[]

Trivia[]

  • There may be a connection between the security droids and the mysterious characters known as the Coat Men[3], since Unit 437 had been sent to kill a test subject that these characters were monitoring.
  • The inclusion of advanced robots in the Slendytubbies series is possibly a reference to the Tubbytronic Superdome from the original TV series, which is a futuristic building lost amidst the wilderness, and the Voice Trumpets themselves.
